Enter the room rate as the quantity.  (i.e. $100 = quantity of 100, $70 = quantity of 70, etc.).   You may enter your payment directly here, or you may call us with your credit card information.

Refund policy:  Due to the popularity of Palmyra, New York, as a destination vacation spot, and the scarcity of rooms, our policy is this…  Payment is due at the time of booking.  No payment = no room.  Refunds are only available if we re-book the room during that same period.  Once the room has re-booked, we will gladly refund your money.  Remember, Palmyra only has one Inn, a couple of B&Bs, no motels and a couple of vacation rental houses.  Lodging is scarce here and for that reason, we have this policy.

If planning to visit during Hill Cumorah Pageant, please call us.  We are typically booked 6-12 months in advance of Pageant.  If we are booked when you call, we will provide you with a referral to others who may have rooms available.

The Beckwith Mansion and Estate is owned and operated by Elizabethe and Brent Walton and all business transactions are done under their names.  Because we offer no services and are classified as a “tourist home”, we are not required to collect sales tax or hotel taxes.  When you check in you are provided with clean bed linens and bathroom towels and washcloths.  This allows us to keep costs down.

For those who have never been to Palmyra, we are a small village – about 3,500 people, and we have three visitors’ centers operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints:  The Smith Farm & Sacred Grove Welcome Center, the Hill Cumorah Visitors’ Center, and the Book of Mormon Publication Site.  We also have a temple.  The demand for rooms far out weights the availability during peak seasons.  Plan your visit well in advance when coming during June-August and October, or during General Conference weekends.

Time wise, it is unreasonable to expect to see everything in a single day.  Take time to enjoy the spirit you will feel while walking the Sacred Grove.  Take time to let the missionaries take you on a guided tour of the various sites.  Self-guided tours of the log and frame homes are NOT ALLOWED.  Thus, allow for about an hour for the guided tours.  The Sacred Grove is a self-guided tour and I find it takes me about 2-3 hours to enjoy the Sacred Grove.  The E.B. Grandin building is about an hour guided tour.  And, Hill Cumorah allow for about an hour in the Visitors’ Center and about an hour to hike the hill.

Keep in mind we get 4 inches of rain a month.  It is rare to visit Palmyra and it NOT rain.  Come prepared and be prepared to wait for the rain to stop before continuing your outdoor sightseeing.
