I learned my lesson last week and drove the extra few miles to Wegman’s today for grocery shopping. It will be rare for me to buy groceries at Walmart again. Lesson learned.
Although, forgetting that tomorrow is Easter, going grocery shopping the day before wasn’t to bright either. However, I must say I did not wait in line at Wegman’s and it was a pleasant experience in spite of how crowded the store was. Everything was in stock (a rarity at the Macedon Walmart) and check-out stands were moving quickly.
After the stomach bug of last weekend, I decided to refresh the flora in my intestines with yogurt. Elizabethe eats the stuff daily. I figure it wouldn’t hurt, so I stocked up on yogurt too. I even bought some onion dip made with yogurt.
Once I was home I proceeded to make dinner. I figured I’d try that yogurt dip I just bought. Guess what? It’s the best store bought dip I have ever had. (Helluva Good is the brand — a local brand.)
Regional print competition is coming up, so I prepared my 4 paintings for the Master Artist category. I submitted them so it is a done-deal. It is difficult because you always look at your paintings thinking, “Should I fix this? Should I fix that?”
There’s a riddle among artists…
Q. How do you know when a painting is complete?
A. When you stop working on it.
Well, that’s where I am today.
