Peanut Butter Bars
This is a quick, easy recipe and requires no baking. They taste like Reese’s Peanut Butter cups… only better.
1c fresh ground peanut butter
1 stick butter (melted)
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup finely chopped peanuts (use a food process or blender – should be coarse like cornmeal)
1/2 cup peanut powder
1/2 pound milk chocolate or chocolate chips
Mix the peanut butter, salt and butter thoroughly. Add the sugar, nuts and peanut powder and mix until doughy.
Press the mixture in to a greased 9×9 glass dish.
In a double-boiler, melt the chocolate and then spread smoothly over the peanut mixture.
Refrigerate for about 1-2 hours before cutting.
