I treated my wife to a birthday lunch today. She wanted to go to Longhorn Steakhouse so she could order their parmesan crusted chicken. (I went for the skirt steak and fries.) It was a good birthday lunch and we both left satisfied.
We then headed to B.J.’s to end our 3-month food storage living. We were both craving a few snack items that ran out quickly when we started our food storage experiment back on 12/1/2015. We also had to restock some items we ran out of. As a result, our food bill was big this time.
We went from there to Wegmans to complete the out-of-stock items in the fridge. It is amazing how good a head of lettuce looks after 3 months of going without.
Unloading the groceries was a chore. It was cold and windy and I had to make umpteen trips from the car to the kitchen.
While at BJ’s, I picked up a couple of CREE LED flashlights. They had a 2-pack of them, including batteries (6 C-cells). I got home and WOW, are these things powerful. I wish I would have had flashlights like this back when I was a Boy Scout.
I’m going to find some way to incorporate them in to my photography work. This will be fun.
