After work, Elizabethe and I went to BJ’s Warehouse to pick up the TV we saw the other day. I had done some on-line checking, and it was a good deal, even though it was more than the one we bought a couple of weeks ago. (The one that was defective and had to be returned.)
I got home, got it all hooked up, and then went through the set up, and it kept saying, “Ch 3 not found”. I thought for sure that the DishNetwork box was either on channel 3 or 4. I finally scanned all broadcast channels and found channel 60. Thinking this was a UHF channel, I kept beating my head against the wall wondering, why isn’t it finding channel 3.
Finally, I noticed the dish box was turned off. So, I turned it on and scanned again. Still, no channel 3. What is going on?
Placing a call in to Dish Network, I’m looking at the back of my remote control. It says “RF Remote” and “Channel 60”.
So, I went back to channel 60, and pressed the menu button on the remote, and sure enough. It is not broadcasting on channel 3, it is broadcasting on channel 60.
All of that time… it wasn’t a waste. I learned something from it.
